Types of Concrete Slump

It is important to define the concrete slump according to the type of concrete dropping. There are three slump types. These are:

  • True Slump: In a true depression cement, it only subsides quickly and retains the form of the mold more or less. This is the most attractive form of decline.
  • Shear slump: It is considered a shear slump if one-half of the cone slides down into an inclined plane. Shear depression in the concrete mix shows a lack of cohesion. In the case of a harsh combination, shear slump can occur.

  • Collapse slump: fresh cement is absolutely failing in this situation.
  • Zero Slump: When cement retains the mould’s actual shape, it is considered zero slumps, which is rigid, constant and almost unworkable. The true recession is the only effective situation for getting an idea of concrete’s workability. The experiment should be replicated in other forms that arise.
